Methods of Quality Patient Care: One of the purposes of NAHCHA is to foster high standards of quality patient care in community and home health services. Whether your agency provides skilled nursing or home health aides; or whether it serves Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance or private pay, it is sure to face similar issues that affect all home care agencies. As the voice for Nebraska home care, the Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services has the power and leverage to influence the issues that affect your business.

Lobbying and Government Relations: The Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services keeps abreast of, and promotes legislation at the state and national level on all issues pertaining to community or home health providers. Through participation in NAHCHA's Government Affairs committee and designated lobbyist, NAHCHA members are kept informed of legislative updates and are encouraged to get involved at the grassroots level.

NAHCHA Communications: The Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services provides your agency with timely and useful information with the most recent developments in home care.
NAHCHA is also a resource for the following:
  • Speakers for organizations, groups or businesses who are interested in learning more about home health services.
  • Assistance in locating home and community health service providers in your area.
  • Information regarding home health care questions, complaints or concerns.
  • Consultation for the establishment and/or the development of home and community health services in the state of Nebraska.
Continuing Education: The Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services provides opportunities for continuing education several times a year with two statewide meetings and two regional meetings. NAHCHA aims its educational programs at all segments of the home health industry and levels of agency staff. All program topics are suggestions from membership evaluations and the Program/Education Committee. The Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services is a continuing education provider and offers continuing education units for every program offered. Speakers are recruited at the local, regional and national level and NAHCHA is known for its quality educational offerings.

Networking: The Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Services encourages members to communicate with one another and take advantage of networking opportunities whenever possible. Through email messaging, educational programs, state, regional, and national meetings, NAHCHA members can work together to share information and resources to improve their operations and solve common problems. NAHCHA offers its new members to homecare, an opportunity to visit with a "member mentor" that can provide guidance as they learn about home care at the local, state and national levels.
